  • CertiQ - If you generate electricity from biomass, you can register with CertiQ
Agentschap NL To prove that the electricity you generate is green we provide you with Guarantees of Origin GoOs once you have registered with CertiQ You can also sell GoOs to a trader Your proof of sustainable energy We issue several types of certificates that prove your energy generation is renewable This makes it possible to buy and sell green energy and allows you to apply for a subsidy Slightly different Most forms of green energy are obviously renewable a wind turbine produces nothing but 100 renewable electricity But that is not always the case with energy generated from biomass Fossil fuels may be used in the same plant along with biomass The residual heat may also be used That is why there are extra requirements for labelling energy generated from biomass Usefully employed heat Measurement protocol and production reports Assurance report Biomass percentages MEP SDE subsidy Biogas plant up to 2MW With use of residual heat Yes for both biogas and heat No but note this is still required for production in 2011 If less than 100 green or from several fuel feeds Without use of residual heat Yes only for biogas No but note this is still required

  • CertiQ - An exception to the rule: biogas plants with a capacity of 2 MW or less
electricity or less and which are registered with CertiQ must satisfy the following requirements You must draw up the measurement protocol before the end of the year This must be approved by an authorised metering company before 31 December of the relevant year 31 December 2011 this year An accountant s report must be submitted to CertiQ no later than 30 April 2012 detailing the fuels used in the preceding year Starting in 2013 an annual production report must be submitted to CertiQ no later than 30 April each year covering your production in the previous year This report is the only requirement for 2013 and the following years New biogas plants Owners of new biogas plants coming on line in 2011 can choose to submit the measurement protocol when they register along with their application form In that case they can submit a production report in 2012 instead of an accountant s report If the measurement protocol has not been approved before production starts an accountant s report the assurance report must be submitted covering the fuels used for production in 2011 New biogas plants coming on line after 2011 must submit a measurement protocol which has been approved no later than the day before the registration date on the application form The measurement protocol The measurement protocol contains a short description of the plant It describes the flows of energy in and out and how they are measured In most cases it is important to confirm that no natural gas was used For more detailed instructions and an example click instructions measurement protocol in Dutch only example measurement protocol in Dutch only The production report The production report shows the fuel measurements for the past calendar year It contains a month by month account of the fuels used

with electricity generated from biomass Fossil fuels may be used in the same plant along with biomass Biomass percentages To certify every type of biomass production we need to know what kind of biomass you used and in what proportions Soon you will be able to report these biomass percentages yourself using MyCertiQ Further information on biomass percentages in Dutch only Pdf biomass percentages Assurance report As a producer of green energy from biomass you must submit an accountant s report on the inputs you have used the assurance report to CertiQ within four months of the end of each calendar year even if as is the case with landfill gas only one type of biomass was used A report is also required for manure based biogas plants with a capacity exceeding 2 MW Waste incineration plants and biogas plants with a capacity of 2 MW or less do not need to submit accountant s reports Further information on assurance reports in Dutch only Pdf Assurance report Handleiding assurancerapport Rapportagetabel assurancerapport Waste incineration plants Waste incineration plants WIPs are a special class within biogas plants Like all other plants they must be registered with CertiQ to be eligible for subsidies
