    much time working on the craft musicianship and an endless number of technicalities of each instrument that at some point and for some of us it becomes clear that it is a good moment to stop and look around to see what it s all about What is it about and what does that have to do with artistry then We recognize as artists as musicians in this case that there is something that sets apart a good or flawless performance from one that was given with artistry and how this extra quality is what breaks the barriers between players and listeners and turns music into a medium where the rest happens It is ultimately what we are looking for as players and listeners However when we try to define this concept we fail to frame it entirely and we get caught up in long explanations or in the need of more words that present themselves as another set of complicated abstract concepts But it seems to be healthy to talk about it because we get in contact with the process that leads towards it and we also share with others our experiences and we learn meanwhile that at some point the exact words are not as important as the openness the sincerity and the awareness to allow the right actions to come out in the right moments In these meetings we explored the concept feeling of artistry through different perspectives and with different approaches in order to trigger diverse reactions in our peers and ourselves that would lead us to a better understanding of the process involved in what we call artistry Bijdragen Tim van der Wart Reacties Titel Reactie OK Voorbeeld Annuleer Connecting conversations Bijdrage Learning to Learn A Reflection How do musicians learn Do we learn something
