    Netspar Research Agenda for 2011 2014 English Dutch Main characteristics Funding for 50 of the appointment of a PhD student for a maximum of three years maximum of 21 500 each year or 33 of the appointment of a post doc researcher for a maximum of three years maximum of 21 500 each year Required matching by a university offered for 50 of the appointment of a PhD student or 33 of the appointment of a post doc researcher The PhD student or post doc researcher must write two industry oriented publications during the first two years of the project In order to free up time for writing industry oriented papers and participating in Netspar events the PhD student will have no teaching obligations or the post doc researcher will have no teaching obligations for the 67 of his her time spent working on the Netspar project The project team will participate in so called task force meetings when writing industry oriented papers The person ultimately in charge of the project is the supervisor of the PhD student or postdoc researcher Selection Criteria The proposal must link up with one of the PILs defined in the research agenda The project involves high quality academic research and has a clear link to the pension practice The project involves the appointment of a highly talented PhD student or post doc researcher The application is submitted by a Dutch university and the project preferably has several industry partners participating in it For suggestions of possible forms of involvement see explanation in Annex I If a PhD student is appointed the proposal must meet the requirements for the preparation of a doctoral dissertation as defined by the graduate school or university involved Application requirements Proposals for a Small Vision Grant must contain the following

    members from an industry partner Project team members are available during the course of the project to present research results at Netspar events Project team members are expected to participate in task forces meetings when writing industry oriented Netspar publications The project leader is responsible for the project in terms of content and finances The project leader also serves as the first point of contact for project monitoring Selection Criteria Proposals for k 250 must link up with the Netspar research agenda Proposals for k 500 must link up with the Netspar Priority Theme The application must be submitted by a Dutch university or knowledge institute that will be responsible for the administration if the grant is awarded The proposed project leader must be employed by this Dutch university or knowledge institute At least 10 of the project capacity in must be supplied by one or more academic associated with a foreign university Preferably 50 of the total cost of the project should be offered as matching in cash or in kind Please explain any deviation Active participation in the Netspar Match Making event February 29 2016 is recommended when submitting a proposal Application Requirements Proposals for a Theme Grant must contain the following six documents Completed Application Form Annex I Detailed Description of the Proposal Annex II Budget Plan in accordance with the prescribed format Annex III Output Commitments in accordance with the prescribed format Annex IV CVs of the applicant and all project members converted into a single pdf file Only applications in accordance with the Netspar format will be accepted for the selection procedure Selection Process There is one selection round each year Applications are evaluated for academic quality by the Scientific Council In this evaluation round at least three members of the Scientific Council will judge
