    The website had to become the conversion channel but the goal wasn t just to sell more tickets The Dutch National Opera Ballet wanted to convert existing and new visitors into subscribers and create crossovers between the two art forms Beauty expression and motion Every performance is visually supported by a matching slow motion movie Make visitors experience the stage performances online What ballet and opera have in common is beauty expression and motion We created a highly visual and interactive website based on these three elements Every performance is visually supported by a matching slow motion movie that allows visitors to really experience the stage performance The website also engages with the stage production the world of Opera Ballet and the brand All this makes for the kind of immersive experience that is needed to trigger visitors to buy tickets for a stage production New navigation also makes it easier to buy tickets Art should be enjoyed by everyone which is why the website can be viewed and enjoyed on all devices On average all available tickets are sold With the launch of the website the identity of a new international top institute really came to life The website launched on the 17th of February 2014 The traffic to the ticket shop of The Dutch National Opera Ballet has tripled since the launch and ticket sales increased to 96 which is basically the maximum since not all tickets go on sale The average time people spend on the website is exceptionally long 5 minutes Navigation has also been improved visitors have found it more easy to find what they are looking for because the pages per visit decreased with 30 The average time people spend on the website is exceptionally long 5 minutes And last but not least the

    92 more conversion Every single day tons of teenagers and youngsters enjoy the thrilling rides in Walibi Holland We wanted these kids to experience a similar kind of rush when visiting the website Our goal To get these young visitors so excited about the online experience that they would want to immediately book tickets for the real thing Simply reduce the amount of choices visitors have to make In order to increase emotion on the website the menu was stripped and the focus was shifted completely to the rides their speed and other highlights We introduced a speed indicator on the website and decided to show the rollercoasters full screen Because we wanted to put mobile first we opted for a stripped menu The navigation is task oriented and simply reduces the amount of choices visitors have This way they arrive at the right page much faster With their new website Walibi Holland wanted to increase the online experience and ticket sales while reducing the amount of phone calls The new practical menu and the clear ticket page have resulted in a conversion increase of 92 compared to 2014 We ve also seen that the majority of visitors now visit the same four pages By decreasing the amount of choices visitors arrive much faster to the pages that bring in the money which results in higher sales At the same time the amount of phone calls has been reduced by 80 This proves that practical information is now easier to find on the website The new Walibi site is an award worthy example of emotional commerce emotion and usability are blended perfectly and conversion rates have grown dramatically Walibi France also wanted a rollercoaster of a website and so park Rhônes Alpes has been using the same template Not surprisingly
